The Carinthian beef farmers invite you every year to the Carinthian Beef Festival, an annual gathering for culinary gourmets, where thousands of visitors can taste the specialities around the excellent Carinthian beef. At the Ossiacher Tauern estate, visitors can expect a wealth of delicacies, from traditional “Tafelspitz” (boiled fillet) to grilled steak.
The estate, located on a high plateau above Lake Ossiach, is a popular hiking destination at any time of the year with its picturesque pond. Once a year, the estate then becomes the destination of thousands of guests, who can taste the varied delicacies of beef in the idyllic surroundings as well as learn a lot about the cooking and preparation of the beef. Every year, the festival starts at 10:00am with a Holy Mass and then continues with culinary delights, music, culture and entertainment into the evening. Childcare is provided in order to give mothers and fathers sufficient time to enjoy the beef specialities. A loyal visitor to the beef festival is grill world champion Adi Matzek, who has valuable tips ready for all barbecue enthusiasts and amateur chefs.
