View the south of Dobratsch from a completely new perspective from the water. Experience the "Wild One", as the Gail river is also called, nestled between Dobratsch and the foothills of the Carnic ridge, with a canoe. After paddling you can replenish your energy at Lisi's guesthouse. Especially also in autumn you can enjoy the Indian summer with the colourful forests from the water.
This canoe tour leads along the 1600-metre-high south wall of Dobratsch into the unique wilderness landscape ot the "Schütt" with its rubble. Experience quiet sections of river and wild rapids. The Gail, whose name is derived from the Slavic "Wild One", can be mastered by everyone under the instruction of experienced guides.
After the necessary instruction by a guide, you will be accompanied on the water from the bay in Nötsch and given additional information about the surroundings.
The Gail meanders relatively calmly at the beginning, so you can appreciate the nature to the left and right of the river. After two thirds of the way, there are some more challenging sections that will require your concentration when canoeing.
As soon as the tension settles, we are at the finishing point at Nepomukbrücke. Back on land, we walk over the bridge and end the tour with an enjoyable snack at Lisi's guesthouse. After a refreshment, we drive back with minibuses to the starting point at Nötsch.
