Heidi and Jean Luc Lenoble have been organising the largest and probably one of the most popular craft markets in Austria for more than 30 years. With participants from 10 countries, around 130 exhibitors and more than 40,000 visitors a year, the craft market in Ossiach is also one of the most important markets in Austria. Rating: Well worth seeing!
Year after year, thousands of visitors flock to Ossiach in mid-August to visit the craft market. 130 artists from more than 10 different nations offer their works made of ceramics, glass, wood, metal, leather, textiles as well as paintings. The many musicians, street performers and showmen provide an extraordinary flair for the duration of up to 5 market days. Organisers of this popular market are Frenchman Jean Luc Lenoble with his wife Heidi. Together, the two live in a hermitage in the Ossiacher Tauern and produce pollutant-free wooden toys. The market is one of the most important summer events in Ossiach, which is also highly appreciated by the exhibitors. This is because demand exceed supplies every year. The market is open daily from 10:00am to 10:00pm (Sundays until 8:00pm only) and takes place in the Ossiach Centre at the car park in front of the Ossiach Tourist Office.
