Austria's largest craft market

Craft market at Lake Ossiacher See

The Lenoble family has been organising the largest and probably one of the most popular arts and crafts markets in Austria for 41 years . The 130 exhibitors from all over Austria and the neighbouring countries inspire over 40,000 visitors every year. This makes the arts and crafts market in Ossiach one of the most important markets in Austria. Rating: well worth seeing!

Exquisite products from around 130 creative minds

Year after year, thousands of visitors flock to Ossiach in mid-August to visit the arts and crafts market. 130 artists from over ten nations offer their works in ceramics, glass, wood, metal, leather, textiles or on canvas. In addition to music and street artists, the evening opening until 9 p.m. with atmospheric lighting provided an extraordinary flair during the four days of the market. The market is one of the most important summer events in Ossiach and is also highly appreciated by the exhibitors.

Current Information

This year the market will take place from 13th August to 16th August 2026 and is open daily from 10 am to 9 pm (Sundays until 8 pm only) and takes place in the Ossiach Centre at the car park in front of the Ossiach Tourist Office.

Carousel

A special highlight in 2026: The Lost Property Carousel

Marvel, smile and have a go at pedalling yourself: at the 2026 Arts and crafts market, the extraordinary Carousel of Lost and Found items (Karussell der Fundgegenstände) promises a truly special experience. An old bath, gas cylinders and other discarded everyday objects have been transformed into an imaginative, handmade merry-go-round with a charming, nostalgic feel.

The carousel runs entirely without electricity: whilst up to 15 children and teenagers enjoy a wild ride in a bath or take off in a gas cylinder rocket, adults and teenagers use their own muscle power to set the carousel in motion on two bicycles.
