The Karnerhof is a hotel with tradition. A family-run business that is deeply connected to Lake Faak and the region of Carinthia. Its history: a turbulent, successful one.
At Hotel Karnerhof on Lake Faak, heartfelt Carinthian hospitality has been practiced for over 90 years. The uniquely beautiful property of the hotel, located directly on the northern shore of Lake Faak – where vacationers from all over the world now gather – once housed the farmstead of the Karner family. In 1930, a guesthouse laid the foundation for the hotel as it is today. Despite difficult situations and critical times, the property was always kept together, allowing the Karnerhof to take shape in its current form.
Even today, as the owner family Karner/Melcher, we are committed to our guests every day with passion and expertise. With a lot of heart and a hands-on mentality, we have managed over the decades to turn the modest guesthouse into one of the most beautiful hotels in Carinthia. Our roots go far back.
