Kanzianiberg in Finkenstein by Faaker See may well be Austria's largest and most traditional climbing garden. Apart from climbing routes of all difficulty levels, it also offers many secured via ferrata for beginners to the more advanced. It provides a wealth of short, secure climbs and routes on all sides.
We walk briefly from the car park in a southerly direction and then climb uphill along a secure route to reach the Großer Prasvale after a walking section. A ropeway leads to the Kleiner Prasvale. We climb to the Sonnwendkopf, return, cross a secured overhand and climb briefly downwards before following a route northwards under the Prasvale. Uphill again briefly, we come to the place where we climbed up to the Kleiner Prasvale.
Now we cross to the south and can climb again along secure ropes. Upon arrival at the top, we cross back to the north and descend along ladder to the already known spot of Kleiner Prasvale. From here we climb down again to the car park (partly gravel tracks).
