Lake Ossiach Car-Free

You can explore all around Lake Ossiach on your bike, skateboard, roller skates or on foot, all day long. The entire route is off-limits to motorised vehicles. The 27 km route is one-way, all around the lake, in a clockwise direction. For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, you can take the ship, Ossiacher See Schifffahrt, from one town to another. The next car-free day around Lake Ossiach takes place on May 4th, 2025.

Local restaurants, some directly on the route, naturally extend a heartfelt invitation. Enjoy a relaxed day circumnavigating the lake with your friends or family. Entertainment and music are also on offer along the route as a matter of course. Reward yourself with stops at several refreshment stations.
