Don't miss out on the ferry crossing from Lansach-Fernitz. From the beginning of May to the end of September, the old tradition of boat crossing is in operation. This is a pleasure to guests, visitors and locals alike because it is an experience in itself to be brought across the Drau by a real ferryman.
In Paternion angler’s dreams come true: Over a length of about ten kilometres, there is the possibility to fish in the Drau. Fancy a dip in the cool water? No problem! The modern community outdoor swimming pool has its gates open for you. And the Carinthian lakes are also just a stone's throw away. Do you fancy sampling some contemporary art on the land? The artist club Kunstverein "Grünspan" makes it possible. In a former stable building you will find concerts, readings and exhibitions at their finest. Pure art and culture can be experienced in the castles and churches in and around Paternion.
