The Path of the planets
NEW from June 2025 on Gerlitzen Alpe
Why is Mars red? How big is Jupiter? And what distinguishes stars from planets? You will find the answers to these and many other exciting questions on the new "Weg der Planeten" - the Path of the planets. This interactive theme trail on the Gerlitzen Alpe (middle station) invites you on a unique journey through our solar system.
In addition to the informative station boards with a rotating planet model and special quiz questions for those who love to walk, it is also possible to find out about the planets using AR (augmented reality).

Discover the path of the planets together with our mascot Hirschi on the Kanzelhöhe and walk past all the planets to the sun, which you will reach at the solar observatory on the Kanzelhöhe. You will cover an impressive 160 billion kilometres - at least on a scale, because in reality it is only just under 2 kilometres.
The Path of the Planets is ideal for families, school classes and anyone with a passion for space.
