The tour starts at the summit house from the Gipfelbahn mountain station. It then continues straight on to the Neugarten Almseehütte (path no. 177). Right at the start you cross the Gerlitzen Gipfelstraße once and follow the path for the piste area, always descending towards Neugarten. The path leaves the piste at the wooden hut (shelter for cows) and leads through the spruce forest and further past the Neugarten reservoir with its adjoining water adventure world to the Neugarten Almseehütte.After a culinary stop, you start again, climbing slightly towards Stifterboden (path no. 5). The strenuous part is quickly over, however, as the descent to the Kammerhütte is quickly completed.Without any significant differences in altitude, you then head to the Pöllinger Hütte (path no. 1762). You can exchange culinary expertise on the sun-drenched terrace before taking the path (path no. 176) through the Pöllingersiedlung and over the Waldtratte to the Kanzelbahn mountain station and the Cielo Mountain Lounge Bar.

You can easily reach the Gerlitzen gondola with the S2 train of the ÖBB- "Bahnhof Annenheim."
