Mittagskogel - West Flank

Back-country skiing

Information

At first, the ascent is unspectacular through the forest until suddenly standing in the steep gully system beneath the Kleiner Mittagskogel. The exposed traverse into the Mittagskogel west flank is only for those free from vertigo and experienced ski tourers. The west flank itself is not very long but simply beautiful.
Once you have skied the Mittagskogel west flank, you count as a true ski tourer or wild dog.
