Moorrunde Faakersee

A short bike ride near Lake Faak.

Finkenstein has a few excellent inns and restaurants- a stop is highly recommended!

The start of this bike ride is the Faak tourist information center (Tourismusinformation Faak). From there, you head east until reaching Fliederweg. Ride on the bike path and the “Bachstrasse” through Faak until reaching the main road (Bundesstrasse), which you cross in order to get to the “Faaker Moor” bike path. Follow the bog path (Moorweg) to Höfling where you ride further along “Höflinger Strasse” to St. Stefan. Riding downhill past churches and inns, you have to go over the tracks in the Finkenstein town center. Take a left on the main road and follow this until reaching a round-about in Faak. Take the first turn and follow the road to the small town of Pogöriach and through Ratnitz and Latschach in a loop until you get back to the round-about. From there it is only a short ride back to the starting point.

Faak is reachable with the busses and trains of the ÖBB.
