Unrestricted travel throughout Carinthia
With the Erlebnis CARD for the Villach – Faaker See – Ossiacher See region, you can travel on numerous public transport services during your stay conveniently and without any additional ticket costs.
With the free Erlebnis CARD, you not only gain access to special experiences, but also receive the Kärntner Linien mobility ticket for public transport in Carinthia. In addition to public bus and train services in Carinthia, selected regional services are also included free of charge.
Mobility benefits with the Erlebnis CARD
- Free bus and train travel: From 1 November 2026, you will be able to use almost all public transport services in Carinthia at no extra cost.
- Discover the whole of Carinthia: you can also travel free of charge on regional and city buses, as well as local and long-distance trains.
- Free ski buses: In winter, our regional ski bus services provide convenient transport to the Gerlitzen Alpe and Dreiländereck ski resorts.
- Free Dobratsch Nature Park Bus: Explore the Dobratsch Nature Park with the seasonal bus service.
- Flexible travel: The Postbus shuttle at Lake Ossiach is included.
- Simple and digital: With the Erlebnis CARD , you also receive the Kärntner Linien travel card free of charge
Which forms of public transport are included?
From 1 November 2026 , the following transport services will be available at no extra cost during your stay:
- Regional and city buses on scheduled public transport routes within Carinthia
- Suburban rail services and regional express trains in Carinthia, as well as suburban rail connections to Lienz
- Local and long-distance trains operated by ÖBB and WESTbahn within Carinthia, for example Railjet, Intercity, Eurocity and ICE
- ÖBB Radsprinter (Bicycle transport must be booked and paid for separately)
- Selected on-demand bus and shuttle services, e.g. Postbus shuttles – with a comfort surcharge where applicable
Leave your car at your accommodation and explore Carinthia at your own pace.
Good to know: You’ll need an additional ticket for journeys outside the included area. Travel to Carinthia is not automatically included.
How it works
- Book accommodation with the Erlebnis CARD: Included with participating hosts in the region
- Receive your digital Erlebnis CARD with travel ticket: Once you have registered, your personal Erlebnis CARD will be sent to your email address. It can also be issued digitally on the day of your arrival. In the digital view, you can switch to the Kärntner Linien transport ticket. In exceptional cases, the Erlebnis CARD can also be printed out.
- Hop on and discover Carinthia: If asked, please show your valid Erlebnis CARD or Kärntner Linien travel card, along with photo ID. The services are valid from the day of arrival (from the time of issue) until the end of services on the day of departure.
