Would you like to appreciate the beauty and surprising features of both nature and the Dobratsch Nature Park in a truly unrestricted and accessible way?
Then the Geo Learning Trail is just the job! At approx. 1732 m above sea level, at the so-called Rosstratte, which is also the start of the hiking path up to the summit, a top-class barrier-free learning trail has been created. Along it visitors can find out about, view and touch the different types of rock to be found in the Dobratsch Nature Park. A series of display boards provide information about the various deposits. And at the end there is a seating area for groups to rest awhile.
You can get there in the barrier-free Nature Park bus or drive to the starting point of the Geo Learning Trail yourself.
More information on the trail can be found here.
Do you ever feel the desire to look out over the precipice and feel as free as a bird?
The “Skywalk” viewing platform close to car park no. 6 on the Villacher Alpenstraße road up the mountain allows you to look hundreds of metres down from the “Red Wall” precipice. The 75 m long, gently sloping path guides you to the viewing platform without any obstacles, even with a wheelchair, pram or with restricted mobility. Enjoy the sensational view at a depth of 400 m, observe rare species of birds or simply enjoy the beautiful distant view.
