One of the most important music festivals on Lake Ossiach
Immerse yourself in the musical world of the Carinthian Summer and enjoy the unique atmosphere in the most diverse venues. The Carinthian Summer has been attracting artists and music enthusiasts from all over the world to Carinthia year after year in July and August since 1969 and offers a varied program that is second to none.
Enjoy classical music, jazz and crossover in impressive venues such as the Ossiach Abbey, the Bamberg Hall in the Villach Congress Centre, the Arnoldstein Monastery Ruin or the Mountain Church in Tiffen and, like more than 10,000 other visitors, let yourself be drawn into the magic of the Carinthian Summer. Since 1974, a church opera has been an integral part of the series of events, often written as a commissioned work especially for the Carinthian Summer. After Helmut Wobisch, Gerda Fröhlich and Thomas Daniel Schlee, Holger Bleck has been the artistic director of the Carinthian Summer since 1 January 2016.
