Dreiländereck three-border region

Ideal for families

Meeting point of three countries, languages and cultures - with the three-seater chairlift you can comfortably reach an altitude of 1,500 m and enjoy a wonderful view of the panorama of the Julian Alps and the Gailtal.

Cultural walks in Arnoldstein
The Arnoldstein holiday region is in the southernmost part of Carinthia. The special border situation at the Dreiländereck, not only due to the shared intersection of three national borders, but also the coming together of three peoples and cultural circles, the Romans, Slavs and Germans, is characteristic of the valley and its inhabitants. International understanding plays a role here.

Three-seater chairlift
The three-border area is accessed conveniently with the modern three-seater chairlift (the so-called "3-Länder Jet"). It only takes 15 minutes to reach an altitude of 1506m. Upon arrival at the top, one can enjoy the wonderful view of the Karawanken and Julian Alps, the Villach basin as far as Klagenfurt and the Gailtal.

First walk, then indulge
For hikers, the three-border region is a true paradise. There are many walking options from the peak station. It is half an hour to the "Marterl", about one and a half hours to Wurzenpass or Seltschach. You can either explore the mountain or make yourself comfortable on the big sunny terrace of the mountain restaurant "3-Länder-Treff". There is a playground for the youngest visitors.
