Panorama Trail Southern Alps

The Panoramaweg Südalpen long-distance hiking trail puts the spotlight on a mountain range that was previously considered an insider tip. With a Mediterranean influence, it leads over 20 stages and 284.9 km through beautiful holiday regions.

More and more hikers are discovering the wild and romantic beauty of the Karawanken or the Saualpe, where trails steeped in history, geological features and species-rich flora and fauna become companions at every turn. The Panorama Trail connects the holiday regions of Villach-Faaker See-Ossiachersee, Carnica-Rosental, Klopeiner See Südkärnten and the Lavanttal in 20 stages. The route covers a total of 284.9 kilometres and 16162 metres in altitude on foot.

Impossible? Not at all! You can choose your favourite stage at any time. The many tours are perfect for hikers. The individual routes take an average of around 2.5 to 7 hours to complete. Long and far enough to embark on a new, varied and cross-border journey of discovery in the sunny corner of Carinthia.
