How do I get the Erlebnis CARD?
You receive the Erlebnis CARD free of charge from all participating hosts in the Villach - Faaker See - Ossiacher See region.
Do my children also need a CARD?
Children and young people born from the year 2005 onwards do not need their own Erlebnis CARD and can participate when accompanied by an adult with a valid CARD.
How long is the CARD valid for?
The Winter Erlebnis CARD is valid from 27th November 2022 until 2nd of April 2023 for the duration of your stay in the Villach - Faaker See - Ossiacher See region.
What does the Erlebnis CARD offer?
The CARD offers a wide range of free winter activities like guided snowshoe & winter hikes, winter sports courses, special workshops and tastings, guided city tours etc. The activities can be mostly made use of free of charge. You can find programme details in the Erlebnis CARD brochure or in our experience shop.
Is participation in the programme free?
Participation in the programme is free. There may be supplementary charges for access or entry for very few programme items. These costs are clear on the programme description.
Must I register for the programme?
For most programme items, it is necessary to register in advance due to limited participant numbers. The registration must be made by 12.00 on the day before online via the experience shop, by e-mail: office@region-villach.at or by phoning +43 664 133 41 46.
How often can I use the services of the Erlebnis CARD?
The programme can be used as often as you like during your entire stay in the Villach - Faaker See - Ossiacher See region. Only the use of the offers in the KärntenTherme, the Thermal spring pool and the bouldering hall in Villach are limited to one resp. two uses per card and per stay.
What conditions are there?
At the beginning of the tour, the guide must be shown the CARD. All the programme items take place at your own risk and parents are liable for their children. In principle, for all sports activities ensure suitable footwear, warm and weather-proof outdoor clothing, foods and drinks, sunscreen and weather protection.
For outdoor activities which include winter sports equipment, please take your own relevant equipment with you. At the activities "Snowshoe hike on Gerlitzen Alpe" and "Guided ski tour on Dobratsch" you can rent the equipment free of charge at the beginning of the tour. For all other activities, you can obtain information and contacts about the rental stations at our tourist information offices or by calling our hotline +43 664 133 4146.
