The region “Villach - Faaker Lake - Ossiacher Lake” makes the camping heart beat faster: The water of the lakes is so pure that you can drink from it and in summer warms up to pleasant and mild bathing temperatures. The surrounding mountains invite you to go on hiking tours from which you can enjoy breath-taking views. This is pure camping heaven!
The 29 campsites in the region captivate not only by their location (Lake Ossiach, Lake Faaker, Lake Afritzer, Villach or Gailtal), but also by their quality. Numerous campsites in the region carry the Carinthian seal of quality, which not only confirms campsite standards, but also guarantees hospitality and excellent service. Many also achieve top ratings in the renowned ADAC camping guide.
The region has a lot to offer: Whether a visit to one of the popular destinations (Landskron Castle with Eagle Arena and Monkey Mountain, Citrus Garden, etc.), a culinary exploration trip or active holidays (in the water, on the mountain or on the bike) - around Villach you can expect an outstanding variety of adventures and activities. There is also plenty to explore with the Kärnten Card (Carinthia Card) and the ErlebnisCARD (experience CARD) in the region (included in participating places).
