Lake Silbersee with its wide green spaces offers opportunities for all this. This popular swimming lake is free of charge to all visitors, and only a small fee for parking is required.
To ensure a fun swimming experience the City of Villach looks after the facilities during the summer months, and inspects the water quality regularly – seeing as on hot days more than one thousand people can visit the lake. Employees of the City of Villach also maintain the area around the lake, which includes table-football, tennis courts, boccia lanes, trampolines and two beach volleyball courts. Whether you wish to just splash around, enjoy nature or do sports, Lake Silbersee will be sure to delight you. If you don’t drive, you can reach the lake with a Drau riverboat or by bike. Or you can combine these methods and take your bike onto the ship.
