The flat house Gailtal is located in Wertschach, in the centre of one of the most beautiful parts of Austria.
We are also happy to accommodate larger groups, as it is possible to combine the flats in the house. This enables us to offer original accommodation in an old Austrian farmhouse for 2 to 20 people.
The Gailtal flat house is located in the immediate vicinity of four ski resorts (Nassfeld, Gerlitzen Alpe, Arnoldstein Dreiländereck, and the Italian Tarvisio [Monte Lussari), Lake Presseggersee and Lake Weissensee and all the leisure activities the Alps have to offer.
The pleasant weather of the southern Alps together with your flat in our house creates the warm ambience for good relaxation and the basis for a stress-free holiday. Enjoy a sporty, relaxed, pleasant and romantic summer or winter holiday, we are open all year round!
We have tastefully and stylishly renovated one of the oldest farms in the centre of the village of 300 souls. Our three flats offer highly modern and comfortable facilities and are accessible as separate units with individual access from the outside. The large garden to the south of the house is there for all guests, as is the view of the mountains.

How to get to Gailtal Appartements
Information about check-in:
Check-in can take place from 2 pm. The keys to the flat are handed over contactless via a key safe, which is labelled with the name of the booked flat. The code for the key safe will be sent by e-mail a few days before arrival.
LOCATION:
The house is located on a quiet side street in Wertschach on the sunny side of the valley with an unobstructed view from all balconies of the Carnic Alps to Italy and Slovenia.
Shopping can be done in Nötsch after a short 5 km drive. Nötsch also offers various restaurants and smaller shops as well as a bakery. The Tarmann restaurant is a 5-minute walk from your flat - feast with pleasure!
Directions to Gailtal Apartments
Coming from Germany via the A 10 Tauern motorway in the direction of Villach:
Between Spittal an der Drau / Millstätter See and Villach take the following exit:
- Take the Paternion / Feistritz exit and keep to the right ( direction Hermagor).
- Drive along the Kreuzner Landesstraße (Windische Höhe), Auf der Eben, Kreuzen, Matschiedl.
- After Matschiedl turn left towards Tratten (Kerschdorfer Landesstraße)
- Continue straight on Kerschdorfer Landesstraße via Kerschdorf, Bach, Semering
- After approx. 4.6 km you reach Wertschach
- Opposite "Camping Alpenfreunde" turn left into the small road
- After approx. 100m you will find Gailtal Appartements on the left hand side
Via Südautobahn:
Take exit 364 - direction Hermagor:
- Turn left onto B111 Gailtalstraße towards Hermagor
- After approx. 7 km turn right towards Nötsch (before SPAR)
- After approx. 1 km turn right again onto Bleiberger Landesstraße (direction Bad Bleiberg)
- Then after approx. 1.6 km turn left towards Labientschach
- Continue on the Kerschdorfer Landesstraße via Sankt Georgen to Wertschach
- Opposite "Camping Alpenfreunde" turn right into the small road
- After approx. 100m you will find Gailtal Appartements on the left hand side.
