Slow Trail Afritzer See
Slow Trail – A Pleasurable Hike at Lake Afritz
The starting point of this picturesque Slow Trail is the car park Seepark on the south side of Lake Afritz. It is easily recognised with its creatively designed entry gate of cut ship ribs in the shape of a bow.
The natural Lake Afritz, which is situated at the foot of the popular alpine hiking destinations Amberger Alm, Mirnock and Wöllaner Nock, is home to over 15 species of fish and crayfish. Walk along the shore and observe the dark green yet clear-as-glass lake in all its shimmering beauty. Along the way you will find tempting hammocks and benches, inviting you to pause and reflect. This comfortable hike will de-stress you while taking you back to your starting point via a choice of two routes: The first option is to return the way you came and enjoy the resting places again, the second is to follow a circular route, walking along the narrow yet scenic road on the other side of the lake. Whichever route you choose, you will enjoy the natural beauty of Lake Afritz, as well as the alpine landscape which surrounds it.
