We start in Bad Bleiberg, near the village cemetery in Hüttendorf. From here a wide path leads (route no. 290) through spruce forests from west to east up the Dobratsch northern side. In between we can stop and enjoy the incredible views of the Carinthian lakes and mountains. We continue on the ski slope (route no. 291), then a bit steeper through a beautiful forest, until we come to a pasture with grazing cattle. Here is our first stop, the Aichinger cottage. Here you can enjoy Carinthian specialities on 1,650 meters above sea level. In addition to culinary delights, there is also an exhibition about the bird life in the Nature Park Dobratsch. From the hut the further further route leads over alpine meadows to the Panoramaweg (route no. 291), which we follow to the summit house. We can rejoice in breathtaking views of the Julian and Carnic Alps, the Karawanken and Nock Mountains. To get back follow the way back on the same track. On the way you can stop for food and drinks at the Rosstratte cottage.
