Starting from the village pond in Faak am See and walk in a north-westerly direction (path no. 10) to the church, which is dedicated to St. George. A visit to the cool church or the shade of the big tree in front of it is recommendable, not only on hot days. The southern wall is decorated with a fresco of St. Christopher, which was made in the first half of the 16th century. The route then meets the federal road, which you follow on the sidewalk for about 5 minutes upwards before you turn right into the cool forest. After a slight ascent you reach a small crossroads where you can either choose to go to the peninsula or to the village of Drobollach (approx. 45 minutes walk). This tour leads us to the right, descending slowly towards the peninsula. The federal sports and leisure center at the eastern end can be reached via the natural paths (be aware of the roots on the way) and walk the last 10 minutes on the path near the shore to the end of the peninsula. There you will find with small, free access to the lake. .The indicated walking time only refers to the Faak am See - peninsula route. For the way back you should plan another 45 hours to the starting point or 1 hour to the train station in Faak.
