01st May 2026 Stage 6: Klagenfurt - Lake Faaker See

A change of town is imminent: your destination is the turquoise-blue lake Faaker See. From the centre of Klagenfurt, you first cycle along the Lend Canal to the eastern bay of lake Wörthersee. The route then heads southwards before reaching the Drau cycle path at Maria Rain with its imposing pilgrimage church. You cycle along the Drau via Rosegg to the stage finish at lake Faaker See.
2nd May 2026 Stage 7: Lake Faaker See - Tarvisio - Planica

From the eastern shore of lake Faaker See, the route follows the Alpe-Adria cycle path across the border into Italy. Just before Tarvisio, the route continues towards Slovenia, into the picturesque Triglav National Park. The day's destination is Planica, right next to one of the largest and most impressive ski jumps in the world. Cycle buses take you back to lake Faaker See in a relaxed manner.
3rd May 2026 Stage 8: Lake Ossiacher See car-free day

The crowning glory of the Velovista is the car-free day at lake Ossiacher See. From lake Faaker See, you first cycle along the Drau cycle path to Villach and continue on the R2 to lake Ossiacher See. On this day, the lake belongs exclusively to cyclists. The tour runs in a clockwise direction before returning to lake Faaker See, where Velovista 2026 comes to a festive end.
