From the mountain station of the Gerlitzen Gipfelbahn, it goes over the flat ridge (path no. 6) past the English Tower (observatory) to the German Tower (stone tower) with the architecturally special viewing platform. Here you stay on the right at the same level, cross the slope to the Alpengasthof Pacheiner and there take the path to the Pöllinger Hütte (path no. 176). Essentially, the path in the piste area always descends to the Pöllinger Hütte. The sun-kissed terrace invites your thighs for a culinary stop before heading down the steeper slope (path no. 52) and the Waldtratte to the mountain station of the Kanzelbahn.

From the summit of the Gerlitzen it goes past the starting points of the paragliders and model pilots over meadows and easy-to-walk hiking trails (path no. 176) to the Pöllingerhütte. From there, the start of the Gerlitzen Pistenflitzer is almost in sight. A meadow trail leads to the Waldtratte on the right edge of the slope area. Who would like to round off the hike with a visit to the nearby high ropes course or visit the culinary refreshment stop before heading back down into the valley.
