Kanzelhöhe Rundweg

A short and family-friendly hiking tour with many atttractions along the way.

Starting from the mountain station of the Kanzelbahn, follow either the road or the parallel ski path to the Kanzelhöhe, where the path joins with the Kanzelhöhenpromenade (path no. 176). On the right you can reach the old mountain station of the Kanzelbahn after a few minutes' walk. The asphalted road leads to a lovely forest path, along which information about the regional flora and fauna is provided. A few minutes' walk after the last display board you reach the highest point of the circuit with the Waldratte. You cross the slope here and reach a large parking lot. From here you go back on the asphalt road through a short tunnel (be careful!) downhill until you reach a left-hand bend. Here you turn sharply left towards the reservoir (path no. 31) and reach the starting point again at the mountain station of the Kanzelbahn.

DANGER! The slope has to be crossed in the section between the Prinz Hütte and the Waldtratte car park. Please pay particular attention to your children and yourself. Due to slope safety regulations, some hiking trail signage locations had to be removed for the winter season.
