Warmbad - through the birch wood

The tour through the spa area of Warmbad impresses with its easy accessibility, the diverse topics on the edge of the path and the easy route on cleared paths throughout.

Starting from the train station, cross the Warmbader Straße to the Kärnten Therme and further along to the café Parklounge at the hotel Warmbaderhof. On the way back, we recommend stopping for a warming drink and taking a look at the calendar of events.

Follow the asphalted road to the right and reach the spa gardens at a signposted intersection. Follow the path a few meters further towards Josefinenhof and then turn left to Dr. Adolf Schärf monument. After the monument it is only a few meters to the path that follows the outflow of the Maibacherl, a small brook. If you branch off to the right you come to a bridge with a large information board where you turn left onto the ascending asphalt road. Almost at the highest point, the asphalt road branches off to the right again and you now reach the birch grove.

From here you circle the birch grove counterclockwise, reaching the pond at the western part of the meadow. After the circumnavigation, you descend on the forest path to the chapel of the Holy Trinity and thus reach the spa park and the Warmbad train station.

Warmbad can be reached at regular intervals by public transport.
