Stand-up paddle boarding, also known as SUP in short, is an excellent workout training for the whole body and is suitable for all ages. The only requirement: You should be able to swim well if you fall into the water. The great thing about it is that it is easy to learn, it soothes, it relaxes, and it trains balance.
SUP stands for stand-up paddle boarding or standing paddling and is considered the new trendy sport from the surfer centres of the world. You stand on a surfboard and paddle with an oar. What looks easy from afar requires good balance and torso strength. SUP is a great workout with a high fun factor. For stand-up paddling you need an SUP board and a paddle. SUP boards have been specially developed for this sport. It looks like a surf board; however, the SUP boards are much longer, wider and, above all, more stable. In addition to the conventional boards, there are also inflatable ones with multi-part paddles that you can easily store in the boot of your car.
