Nockberge

The lovely jewel of the Alps

The Nockberge mountains, affectionately known as the "Nocky Mountains", are famous for their gentle hilly landscape. The appearance is one of the geological rarities and is unique in the entire Alpine region. The diversity of the Nockberge is a pure experience for nature lovers and ranges from the largest spruce and stone pine stands to green alpine meadows and extensive flora and fauna.

A constant companion along the beautiful hiking trails is the overwhelming panorama. The view ranges from the Karawanken to the Großglockner and from the Carnic Alps to the Niedere Tauern and the Dachstein. The Nockberge mountains include a total of eight sub-groups: The Mirnock, the Wöllaner Nock, the Gerlitzen, the Millstätter Alpe, the Rosennock, the Schwarzwand, the Königsstuhl, the Eisenhut, the largest peak at 2441 metres, and the Millstätter-See-Rücken. Whether leisurely hikes or challenging summit experiences - the Nockberge mountains make all hikers' hearts beat faster. Experience the beautiful jewel of the Alps and let yourself be drawn into the spell of untouched nature. Hiking boots on - head off - simply enjoy yourself.
