The region “Villach – Lake Faaker - Lake Ossiacher” promises holidays with added value. Because nowhere else can you find such unique mountain and see combinations as here with us. Whether watching a sunrise or a sunset, or discovering the region from above, you will be able to experience the full beauty of our region on one of the many viewpoints.

1. Taborhöhe at Lake Faaker
From the hill at Lake Faaker, you can see the lake and the Dobratsch Nature Park. We especially recommend a visit in the early evening – fantastically beautiful sunsets are guaranteed!

2. Skywalk in the Dobratsch Nature Park
In the immediate vicinity of parking lot number 6 is the skywalk over the Red Wall. From there you can enjoy a breath-taking view of the Karawanken mountains and into the Gail Valley. Further up, the Gamsblick observation deck awaits all hikers.

3. Pavilion Peterlewand on Lake Ossiach
First thing in the morning we go from St. Urban via the hiking trail 2 up to the Peterlewand. There is a small pavilion where you can enjoy breakfast at sunrise.

4.Sternberg
From its small church, the Sternberg offers a fantastic view of the Mittagskogel mountain and the surrounding lakes. You can reach this unique vantage point from Damtschach, via trail 6.

5. Jungfernsprung
Not far from Landskron Castle, along the Tauernwanderweg you reach Jungfernsprung, a rock formation that descends steeply to Lake Ossiach, from which you have a magnificent view of the western part of the lake and the Gerlitzen Alp.

6. Gerlitzen Alp observation deck
From the observation deck just below the summit of the Gerlitzen Alp you can enjoy a magnificent view of the entire Villach region.

Other great viewpoints are: Gamsblick Dobratsch, Stadtpfarrturm Villach, Dreiländereck, Burgruine Finkenstein, Baumgartnerhöhe, Burg Landskron, Mittagskogel, Kanzianiberg and many more.
