Taborhöhe on Lake Faaker See
From the Taborhöhe you have a marvellous view of Lake Faaker See, the Dobratsch Nature Park and the Karawanken mountains. A visit in the early evening is particularly recommended - a marvellous sunset could be the reward.
Those looking for action as well as a view will also find it here: At the top of the Taborhöhe, a forest rope park and an archery course invite you to take part in sporting adventures.
Skywalk & Gamsblick in the Dobratsch Nature Park
Breathtaking views of the Karawanken mountains and the Gailtal valley. The barrier-free Skywalk is located in the immediate vicinity of car park 6 on the Villach Alpine Road.
The Gams- und Gipfelblick viewing platform is also located above the last car park on the panoramic road.
Pavilion Peterlewand on Lake Ossiacher See
A real insider tip: the small pavilion above the Peterlewand climbing garden offers a wonderful vantage point. Ideal for enjoying the sunrise over Lake Ossiacher See with breakfast.
Maiden vault
Not far from Landskron Castle, along the Burgherrenrunde, you reach this steeply sloping rock formation. From here you have a wonderful view of the emerald green western part of Lake Ossiacher See and the Gerlitzen Alpe.
Gerlitzen Alpe
The viewing platform directly below the summit offers an impressive 360° panorama of Carinthia and the surrounding mountains.
Be sure to visit the weather cross on the Gerlitzen Alpe, which is ideal for a souvenir photo.
