After the closure of active mining, two educational visitors mines were established in the original 1300-kilometre-long passageway system of the Bad Bleiberg ore mountain. "The wonder world in the mountain" at Terra Mystica and "The working world of the miners" at Terra Montana.

You will be amazed and enchanted when you walk through Michael Ceron ́s citrus garden. Here we are in the South, albeit the South of Carinthia, but not in the Mediterranean. This collection, which is unique in Europe, is surprising to see because of the breath-taking variety of fruits on around 5,000 m2.

Falconers Franz Schüttelkopf and Michael Holzfeind founded the bird of prey centre high up on Castle Landskron over 35 years ago.  It has not only become a magnet for visitors but also an internationally recognised centre for the conservation of birds of prey with a state-of-the-art quarantine and care unit.

Landskron Castle is one of the landmarks of the region and from spring to autumn a great excursion destination. From the terrace of the café there is a breathtaking view over Villach Region and onto the magical alpine landscape of Carinthia.

Bleistätter Moor is a marsh landscape and is located on the eastern shore of Lake Ossiacher See. It is now recognised throughout Europe as an example of successful nature conservation. Today, it is a retreat for flora and fauna and offers visitors the opportunity to experience nature through gentle tourism.
