When the slopes of the Gerlitzen Alpe glisten in the sunlight, the winter magic begins in our region. Days on the slopes with panoramic views, contemplative walks in the Dobratsch Nature Park and soothing warmth in the KärntenTherme thermal spa - this is where active winter enjoyment meets quiet moments.

Gerlitzen Alpe Ski Centre

A total of 26 ski runs of all levels of difficulty, 45 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes and 15 kilometres of unspoilt ski routes make the Gerlitzen Alpe a versatile winter sports resort in the heart of Carinthia. Centrally located and just a few minutes from the Villach – Ossiacher See motorway exit, the Kanzelbahn valley station is easily accessible. New for the 2026/27 winter season, the Kanzelbahn II will take guests comfortably from Kanzelhöhe up to the summit at 1,911 metres.

With the Erlebnis CARD you can enjoy a variety of unforgettable holiday moments in the heart of Carinthia almost all year round. And completely free of charge! In a unique mountain and lake setting in the south of Austria, numerous experiences for young and old, extraordinary moments of pleasure and many other activities await you.

Ski area Drei.Länder.Eck

At the Dreiländereck where Austria, Italy and Slovenia meet, 15 kilometres of varied pistes, a 3-seater chairlift and 6 T-bar and platter lifts await guests – including a boundless panorama. For beginners and children, there is a practice lift in the valley area as well as the "Happy Ski School".

Villach and its surroundings

With its narrow alleyways, cobbled squares and colourful houses full of cafés and shops, Carinthia's second largest city is reminiscent of old Mediterranean towns. The Villach experience area invites you to shop, enjoy and stroll and has plenty of events to offer in every season: The picturesque Advent in winter, the infamous Villacher Kirchtag in summer and numerous markets and festivals in between, such as the Villalher Fasching, which always make a visit to the city lively and interesting.

Lake Faaker See

The region around lake Faaker See leaves memories behind. With its turquoise-blue, crystal-clear water that sparkles in the view of the Mittagskogel, it is a centre of attraction for guests and locals alike. In the immediate vicinity is the famous Kanzianiberg - a must-see for climbing enthusiasts - as well as the family hiking trails "Fox Trail" and "On Woroun´s tail", playful and educational hiking adventures for the whole family.

Gerlitzen Alpe and Lake Ossiacher See

The Gerlitzen Alpe and the lake Ossiacher See combined nature, sport and culture like no other adventure region in Carinthia. The nearness to the Drau town of Villach, the cultural highlights around the lake Ossiacher See and the Gerlitzen Alpe - a mountain for everyone- guarantee a fantastic and eventful holiday in this region.

Dobratsch nature park

Whether on foot or comfortably by car via Villacher Alpenstraße. Once you arrive at the Rosstratte, the last car park before the summit, you are presented with a fantastic postcard mountain panorama. The Dobratsch Nature Park adventure area invites you to go hiking and offers lots of interesting facts at its foot with exciting mining history (including a show mine).
