Rosstratten Circuit

An easy hiking tour through the beautiful nature park along beautiful points of view, wildlife and great Carinthian food at the end.

Outdoor shoes with good profile sole, food and drink, rain protection, etc.

The start of this hike is in the immediate vicinity of the Aichingerhütte. The comfortable hiking path (path no. A) leads uphill to the viewing platform Gams- and Gipfelblick. If you are lucky, you may be able to see the numerous chamois in the wild from here, especially in the morning hours.

Then follow the same path back again and after the short descent turn right to Rosstratte. Along the way you will get information on geology and may find some fossils on the "Feldherrnhügel" yourself.

Adjacent to the children's playground is the Rosstrattenstüberl, known for its typical Carinthian cuisine. After a culinary stop, we head north over the alpine meadows until we descend slightly again to the well-known ascent path shortly before the starting point.

You can take the nature park shuttle (Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday).
